Mandarin Shrimp

Great when you’re in the mood for Asian and happen to have shrimp in the freezer. A must for me; shrimp thaws out in 10 minutes, I keep a large bag on hand at all times, 21/25 cleaned & deveined, this dish is as easy as shrimp salad!

Prep time 10 minutes    Cook time 10 minutes

Ingredients

10 -12 shrimp

2 tbsp Mandarin sauce

1/2 tsp Bead Molasses

1 stalk scallion (cut to 1/2 ” – 2 “)

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp butter

1 tsp sugar

salt & pepper to taste

2 cut cloves of garlic

Over Rice Noodles

Pre-heat oil and scallion in skillet(Wok); add butter and shrimp, toss while cooking for 2 minutes; add remaining ingredients cook for additional 2 minutes as sauce starts to carmelize.

With Rice Noodles

Soak 1/2 lb of noodles in water for 4 -6 minutes while preparing shrimp; before sauce thickens; remove shrimp. Add 1/2 cup of stock with 1 beaten egg and noodles to pan. Cook 4 minutes til noodles soften (a la dente).  Return shrimp to pan along with your choice of broccoli or snow peas shredded carrots, sprouts which ever veggies you prefer. Serve immediately.
Enjoy!
